Pre-cautionary Measures:
 
Members/Visitors must not attend the church service if they:

  • Are unwell (with any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, headache, runny/stuffy nose, sore throat and/or diarrhea)
  • Have been in contact with a person infected with COVID-19 during the previous 14 days.
  • Have travelled outside of Canada during the previous 14 days.
 
To ensure everyone’s physical and emotional safety throughout the service, we ask that you:

  • Wash and sanitize your hands before the service and as needed during and after the service. 
  • Wear a non-medical cloth or disposable face mask - unless you have an underlying health condition that prevents you from being able to wear a mask.
 
Reminders will be posted at the door to outline the following requirements when attending service:

  • Maintain Social/physical distancing at least six feet apart 
  • Have zero physical contact including handshakes
  • Avoid touching your face or rubbing your eyes
  • Do not share any items
  • No eating at the church at any times 
  • Please go home if you are feeling unwell or become symptomatic during the service. Please inform the church office via phone call or an email for contact tracing purposes.
  • Respiratory etiquette should be followed, such a coughing and sneezing into the elbow
 
 
Church Capacity/Member-Visitors Participants:

  • As per British Columbia Health Officer, gatherings more than 50 are not permitted and would not be considered safe.
  • Attendance is encouraged every other week, to keep the numbers well below the official limit
 
 
Church Entrance (Foyer):

  • Church greeter will not be shaking hands.
  • Hand sanitizer will be positioned at the entrance to the church
  • Main Entrance and sanctuary doors to remain open to reduce touching the door handles during entry/exit.
  • Church greeter will not be handing out bulletins. Members/Visitors can print their own bulletins to bring.
  • Church office will be printing and placing bulletins on the table. The person picking up the bulletins from the printer will sanitize their hands just before moving the bulletins to the table.
  • No coffee or snacks will be provided until further notice.
  • Church Members/Visitors who arrive early must not gather in close contact to each other as much as possible. Public Health recommends a family or household unit to keep a distance of at least 6 feet / 2 metres from other family or household unit. This excludes persons from the same household.
  • Ushers will make a list of people in attendance for contact tracing purposes
 
Church Sanctuary:

  • Families or household units must sit 6 feet from other families or individuals.
  • During sharing and announcements, microphones will not be handed out. Members/Visitors can speak in a loud voice.
  • Singing is to be done while wearing a face mask.
 
 
Fellowship Hall:

  • No potluck will be provided until further notice.
 
 
Kitchen:

  • No food/beverages will be served during the pandemic.
 
 
Washrooms:

  • All doors and handles will be sanitized prior to the start of the service
  • Only one person in a washroom at a time
  • Wash your hands prior to and after use of the washroom
  • Washrooms will be sanitized by the cleaner on Monday, after the service
