Summer Day Camp
COVID 19 Guidelines
We are pleased to be able to offer a summer day camp this year, and want to ensure the safety of all the children, and volunteers who participate. In order to do that, we will need to change things a little bit. All children and volunteers will be screened at the start of each day, for any symptoms of the virus, and we cannot allow people with even minor symptoms to participate. Everyone will need to wash their hands when they arrive, and we will be doing hand washing several times during the morning. Snacks will be pre-packaged and will be served by volunteers with gloves and masks. Volunteers will don masks when they need to work closely with the children. Crafts and games will be chosen that allow little if any contact, and the craft supplies will be handled carefully by the staff. We will disinfect surfaces through-out the morning. We will do our best to balance the need for safety with the child's need for play and interaction!

Hello! Thanks for visiting our site. :)
We have an exciting kids' program happening this summer every Friday from 9:30 am to 12:00. This year's program will be held primarily at the United Mennonite Church in Black Creek (2277 Enns Road). You are free to join your child, but we would like to offer this to you as a well earned break! Take some time to read a book, go for coffee, or run those errands that you've been meaning to do. The program itself involves games, songs, stories and crafts. There will also be a an outing during the summer, to explore some of the local farms and activities. This year's theme is "Great Big Beautiful World" and we will explore God's amazing handiwork, and talk about how we can care for this world. If you are not sure and would like to know more, please contact the pastor.* If you would like to volunteer with the planning, preparation, or running of the program, we'd love to have your help!* |
